Quilted Table Runner

 

I am finally posting SOMETHING! Sorry it took so long. I have a lot of projects going on all at once and have been busy at work as well.

So last week, I went to my niece's dress rehearsal for her dance recital to take photos, and later that night, at about 9:30, I decided it was a good time to start a quilted table runner that I have been wanting to make. 

Good idea, right!?

It didn't take me long to do. I worked on it that night, the next morning than finished it this past weekend. I don't have much quilting experience. I have never taken any classes or anything. I made one quilt on my own in college in a day. I haven't 'quilted' anything really since there. I have just be in the mood to lately. So....I just whipped this up....nothing fancy. It is far from perfect, but I am happy with it! I started getting a little frustrated with my sewing machine near the end, because it wanted to give me a hard time when I wasthiscloseto being DONE! So....I fixed that problem. I bought a NEW sewing machine! But not until after I finished my runner.

I thought the fabric was fun, and cheery and I wanted to make something with it. It was just some fat quarters that I came across. I kept it simple with straight strips. I made the edging....THAT was a pain in the butt....I definitly learned a few things from this project.

Sooo....now I am onto a new project with my NEWWWW machine and I will post ASAP!
